Hello Welcome
Hello! I set up Rachelle Nuit Atelier in 2020 to bring a smile, delight and joy to someone's day. Apart from custom watercolour pet portraits, I also create digital illustrations inspired by animals, human, and nature.
I have worked with cafes and bookshops and would love to see how we can collaborate!
In 2002, I exhibited my "French breakfast" in Rocketvan Café in London curated by Andrew Logan; I have also exhibited "The Lion and The Lamb" collection in the Globe - I Will exhibition in London. Since then I have been teaching art and writing and illustration my own children's pictures books.
Artist's journey
When I first started making art as a child in Hong Kong, there was a big focus on techniques and ‘accuracy’. I was deeply affected by my father who preferred drawings being a copy of its subject.
As I grew older, I started to explore different art medium and creativity at GCSE and A-levels in Cheltenham, UK. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiments and critical learnings.
Art was thought- provoking and was the reason why I chose Architecture as my university study.
